Wonderfully taut, intense update, Chic! If you made revisions I'm not aware of them. This is seamless writing.

And Southland tonight! Yay! Be sure to take notes in case you get ideas for the next chapter.

I'm really enjoying this. I think canon John needs an intervention.

Everybody's "why you need help" bits were very well done and IC. Dewey talking about his own addiction issues and how they affected him and the people around him, Chickie calling him out on putting her down because he was having issues, Laurie being honest about both her enabling and the danger he put her job in because of it, Cesar saying they're through unless he gets help, Ben telling him that he went from being a really good cop/training officer to a bad example...

I have to admit Jorge's amused me, though. And was also IC--there are a couple canon moments where he's trying to get John to be a less frequent customer. And face it, if your dealer's willing to help at an intervention (even if it is because he gets immunity), you are in bad shape.

Thank you so much for your comments. I'm pleased that you see see them all as IC.

It will be very interesting to see where the writers go next season. Will John still be in rehab, or will it pick up after he is out (as I believe). Will he be *cured* and pain free? Or still deeply flawed (as I hope)

Thank you!! Thank you!!! This is a great, non-slash Southland fic. IMHO, you don't even need to wait for Season 4 to continue. You're doing a great road, regardless of what TPTB actually do with John's addiction issues.

On another note, where did you get the fabulous Ben Wallpaper? I love it!

I have gotten out of the flow of writing over the years, but who knows what may still occur?
