How Stupid Are Crows?
I decided to find out..... LOL
That darn Hurricane off our Coast is messing with my arthritis and I am a little cranky so I thought might as well mess with the Crows' mentality for a bit today. :)
So I put out my crow decoy. His name is Johnny!!!
Can you believe these stupid crows stayed up in a tall tree screaming at this decoy for 5 hours. Too chicken to come down and visit him. They hid in the top of the giant tree all day. I bet my neighbors wanted to shoot them cuz they were crazy LOUD. It went on and on. Even my little parrot started mimicking them. They were like a broken record. Over and Over again cawing.
Hiding.... Can you see me?
Okay, in a final frustrated frenzy prior to going home (I bet they were hungry) they switched trees and got closer calling with much urgency to Johnny.
In my neighbor's smaller tree, I spotted one of them good this time.
Yep, he couldn't hide from me. :)
And this one even showed himself for about 2 minutes (screaming the whole time) out in the open... oh, I bet he was terrified to show himself like that. Such big nasty birds. What are they afraid of?
There was a third one that got really close (I could hear him scream but couldn't see him). I think he was on the roof. Sly, sneaky Devil. If I didn't have Arthritis... I'd been sneaking up on the roof to get a shot of him. LOL
I can't believe these dumb birds screamed and carried on for 5 hours over a decoy but were too afraid to confront him. Sure Johnny's cute and all but he's just plastic and he has no brains. Come to think of it neither do the real crows... Thinking a little more... I might be lacking in some too!
But hey, I was smart enough not to waste my day watching for the crows to get their pic. Nope, I left that to my Trusty Dusty Assistant:
She's rather lacking in brains too but she's loyal and you can count on her (yeah right) to stay awake for 5 hours and keep watch!! Oh, and that's her nasty blanket. It use to be a nice padded, quilt-covered bed but she had a crow dream one night and tore it all to hell.
Moral to the story. Don't ever waste your money on a ScareCrow.... Nope, just buy one of these Trusty Dusty Fake Crow/Ravens. Available on Ebay They work every time!!!!
