How sad and terrible. :( Poor animals. I had a stray dog come to house October 2004 and have 12 puppies under my house and then she died when the puppies were less than 2 weeks old. The 2 runts died, my Mama took 3 and I kept the rest and we bottle fed them until they could eat solid food. I still have all 7 and they are a little over a year old. I was able to get them all spayed, neutered and shots thru the kindness of a rescue animal group associated with the animal shelter-$500 for all 7 dogs!Everyone tells me I am crazy to have kept them all but they are my babies. They think I am their Mama. I don't have much but I did donate some $ for this cause.

Awwww That was so sweet of you to take those little orphans in like that. :) You will reap the rewards of lots of puppy kisses for many years to come. LOL

Wow, you got a deal on the spay/neuter fees. I've just spent a small fortune on getting my two pound puppies fixed.

Thanks so much for posting this! I just posted the latest update. So many kitties died but it looks like most of the dogs made it out alive. They've even found that a lot of the little pups have survived.
