Geez I'd snag him in a heartbeat if I wasn't married and thought I'd have a proper accommodation. Awww poor sweet thing. I've taken for granted that pets can be blind! He seems in good health too like previous owner cared well for him.

He does seem in good health. I'm praying he has an owner out there looking for him. He sure doesn't have much time left. We are putting pleas out everywhere so hopefully things will come through for him. We've found deaf dogs and crippled dogs homes or a rescue group that specializes in handicapped animals, so maybe this one can find one too.

He's a pretty thing! I just can't imagine how scared he must be. Keep your fingers crossed for him!

Loves ya!!!

GAH! He goes up for adoption for one day:/ That is so sad! I want him so bad, Colleen. I bet he is so full of love. He seems just like the kind of little guy that would make someone so happy. *cries* I will pray that he is reclaimed. I will pass this post along to my friend's tomorrow. Hey, I found a home for a dog once before this way:)

XOXO!!!!!!!!!!!

Awww Thank you! Hey, I wouldn't mind sending him up your way! LOL

He looks like a real sweetie! Rescued dogs seem to understand and appreciate that they were in a bad situation. When adopted or rescued, they just behave so well and are so loving. Well, most of the time. LOL My littlest pup that I adopted is a pure little shit. :) She loves to bite us with those sharp little puppy teeth. We still love her though. Her brother is entirely different and is just a big ole lover boy. Sloppy kisses whenever you want em!

This shelter actually gives dogs more days than a lot we deal with. Some put to sleep on certain days and no matter if the dog was brought in the day before they put them to sleep on schedule. :( Sure makes it hard to rescue them on such short notice and we never forget the faces of the ones we lost out on.

Thanks for any help with posting this. I have a feeling someone or something will come through for this boy! He deserves better than what he is getting right now. :)

Hey, there! Well, word is getting out about this boy's plight and there is a rescue group up North that said they will take him along with 3 Spitz mix siblings that they already have pulled from Georgia and are arranging transport. Another person with a rescue that deals with handicapped animals is also saying they may take him.

What we have to watch out for is to make sure these promises are fulfilled so he doesn't fall through the cracks. Just like the Mom dog having babies. She was suppose to go to a rescue but because she is timid and the household she would be in was rowdy with other dogs, she won't be going now. She needs a quiet environment where someone can spend a lot of one on one time with her, so now we are looking again for a place for her. :(

Right now, it's looking like word is spreading and many people are trying to help this blind boy. Keep your fingers crossed!

I know. It is so sad and way too many animals are put to sleep each year. Can't save them all, but one at a time helps a lot.

Here is a page our group just started that shows some of the dogs and cats that have been rescued from being put to sleep. http://www.not-4-got-n.com/

Sometimes it helps looking at that page when we get down about the ones we can't save. :)
