Yikes! I need to speak with Colin, but we will only be 2 days away. Is transport an option?

LOL She said she is willing to transport a decent distance to find them a loving home. Not sure what a decent distance is. :)

They are just too cute!!!

We are leaving to his mom's and it is only 2 states away, but east TX=3 states away. Working on a couple other potential rescues, but those two are too cute! Two pups at a time might do me in, but I'm ready to rip out my carpet and paint the cement floors so what the heck! I'll keep in touch. I also joined the site. I think I need to work on a local one for here!

Watch it... you'll have no space to sleep soon. LOL Your bed will be full of doggies!

I think a local one is such a good idea. There are so many animals and no way to help them all. That's why our board is so unorganized. Trying to help too many different places and always seems to be more needing help. Just not enough people to help all the shelter animals.

Our dog Niko was a rescue. (that's him in the icon, getting hugged by my son shortly after he joined us) He wasn't claimed at the shelter, and was taken into Foster Care. I found him on PetFinder (or he found me!). When we first met, I noticed he was blind in one eye - in foster care, he had been checked by a doggie eye-doc, who said it was most likely due to some injury. Upon later inspection, I found BB pellets in his leg. He apparently had been shot at.

If I had my way I'd have about ...13 dogs!!!

What makes people do those horrible things to animals? Glad Niko found you! Thank God too for the Rescue group that pulled him and got him into Foster Care. I swear, rescued animals know they have been saved and seem so much more loving for it.

You'll probably enjoy this poem written by someone that finds blind dogs homes. We're going to send a copy to the family that adopted the Blind Spitz girl. Even handicapped animals deserve a loving home. :)

I SEE YOU WITH MY HEART ( ... )
