UPDATE on KItty Rescue
Sorry for the delay, after being up all night I had to take a rest this afternoon. :)
Don't have the exact number from Joan yet but it looks like..... DRUMROLL.....
Around 65 Cats and kittens were rescued!!!
As it ssems things always goes, this rescue was not without it's glitches. LOL Poor Joan had to drive about an hour to get to the shelter. First she was stuck in a terrible traffic jam. We are all calling Coweta begging them to wait.
Once she was on her way again, she broke down not far from the shelter. Michelle went to her rescue but again, delays and Coweta doesn't like delays but they were really understanding and agreed to give her and Michelle time to get there.
Will give a detailed report once Joan gets her little charges all settled in and she gets some rest. I know she kept relaying messages to us about do we have enough sponsor dollars to take this one or this other litter cuz they are sick and will need more dollars but she didn't want to leave them behind. With each posting, the good folks rallied and told her yes we have the dollars or don't worry about it we will get them. LOL
As an added bonus to the Kitties, with all the publicity for the kitties 3 dogs lives were saved too. A sponsor stepped up for these two comical pups as their last day is today. They fully sponsored both and pledged to pay for any vet bills if the pups should break with parvo!!!! Wow!
And this dear sweet senior cocker found a rescue/home to go to!
The old fella has left the building!!!
Hey, the dog rescue helped the kitties and in returned they helped some doggies that pretty much had no chance! Kind of nice huh?
None of this could have been accomplished without the wonderful supportive friends! The folks donating, crossposting (spreading the word), or sending your love and good wishes to the success of this adventure are the true heroes here!!!!!
