Some Good News for an Animal Friend on this Sad Day in History
Sorry, I haven't been on much. I do try to keep up but have been sick lately. Seems like most of the summer I've had one bug after the other. :(
Just wanted to share an inspiring story and how the MySpace community pulled together to help this poor pit girl!!
Behind a cut as the pictures are very Graphic!!!
A friend had posted this girl's story to our forum so I put out a plea for help on MySpace. People responded immediately and started sending funds and reposting for her. Well, a lady from CA that has a lingerie store and is on myspace called the vet's office and is footing the entire remaining bill for any surgeries or care this poor girl will need. AMAZING!!!! She is also hoping to adopt her once she recovers.

This Pit was brought into our vet's office today. It showed up @ someone's house and she called Dekalb AC who refused to come and pick up the dog. The dog has obviously had a rough life and has been a mama on more than one occasion. She was probably hit by a car and has a severe fracture in her pelvis that may require a metal plate along with an eye that is so infected and damaged that it's coming out of the socket. The eye has to have been that way for a while since there's a thick layer of puss over the front of it. Despite all the horrible pain she must be in, she is still sweet and will gently wag her tail.
We are collecting donations to pay for all of her surgeries. Her name is "Mammy".
