good news indeed!! at least the devastation is close to water so that ships *can* actually get in there. could you imagine the issues if the disaster was in a land-locked area??? o_O

I wouldn't even want to imagine a land locked area!!! We've seen the problems of getting through to these people cuz roads are gone, bridges gone, air fields gone. Living on a peninsula I can just imagine the backup/blockage of emergency vehicles trying to get in the gulf areas.

I heard today they are pulling 50,000 troops from Iraq and sending them to help.
