Good god almighty!!

I can't believe a person (not a friend, a mere acquaintance who got ahold of my email somehow) would get so offended because I say I don't want emails regarding petitions and "urgent " issues.

I think in order for all of us to learn to know and love each other, it's best to know what a person does and doesn't like.  I have ( Read more... )

I know what you mean!!!! I always like the stuff you send me, it's always cute animals or animal petitions and you know I'm into animals like you are. Sometimes it's something "inspiring" and those are cool too. I have one person that keeps sending me Christian stuff and it drives me crazy. But she and her husband have been actual friends of mine for years and years in real life and I wouldn't hurt her feelings for the world, so from her, I just sort of roll my eyes and delete it.
When someone at work started sending me stuff, I told her fairly quickly that forwarding me Maxine stuff was cool, but please just omit the patriotic stuff and the Christian stuff because I don't really appreciate it. I think I hurt her feelings a tiny bit even though I was nice about it, but at least she quit sending me the stuff I didn't like and I think there's more mutual respect between us now than there was before I told her that.

THANK YOU!

I recently sent a new friend a Christmas card (of reindeers, no Christian message) only to later find out he was Jewish. I'm so happy he told me how weird he felt getting a Christmas card. Now I know not to send him one next year. (On my defense though, he asked me what I wanted for Christmas, so I assumed he was pro-Christmas).

I thought the mass email I sent was very positive (I think I sent you one) .. I have a feeling this girl was looking for an excuse to dislike me. I got that vibe from her, from day one. Whenever I go against my gut, it bites me in the ass down the road.

You've sent me um.... is it a yoga newsletter, or maybe it's holistic a couple times and I liked them. But then again, you only send out the really cool ones so they're always worth reading.

What bugs me are the people who forward every joke they're forwarded to every last stinkin' person in their address book. I don't appreciate that. All it does is make me ignore EVERYTHING they send me because I assume that whatever is sitting there probably won't appeal to me anyway.

Did you tell them?

My mom was doing that to me. OMG, she doesn't have a computer at home anymore, so she'd get to work on Monday morning and blast me with 20 emails of stupid jokes.

I didn't want to say anything so I wouldn't hurt her feelings. Then BANG, one of the emails had a virus and I had to work at the library. Dennis brought it to my attention that we never had that problem until my mom started blasting me. So I told her nicely to just send the ones she'd think I like.

She listened and didn't take offense. People shouldn't. I think this chick was just looking for a bone to pick with me. And I simply told her no one else took offense, there's no reason she should have.
