If there was one thing Ichigo could complain about when it came to his sister Karin, it would have to be that she was too perceptive. She wasn't intrusive like most girls her age. She just had a sixth sense about everything. So, really, it should've came as no surprise when she had finally cornered her big brother and looked at him with those oh-so-serious eyes.
The tomboyish-girl knew something it seemed; knew something that she could only say to her brother in secret. Bad news ahead, basically.
"Ichi-nii..." Oh God, here it comes. "I know I really shouldn't pry..." Was she being nice about this? Usually she was quite blunt about any question. "And, you know, this won't be talked about outside the two of us, but..." He had fought Hollows that were ten stories tall, but here he was, nervous because of a question. "…Who’s that guy who’s always in your room?"
"Huh?"
"Is he your boyfriend?"
"Huh?!"
"I’ve seen you guys kiss…ten times."
"…Well, you see…"
"I mean! It’s okay by me, Ichi-nii. But, can you guys keep it down from now on? Sometimes it wakes me up."
Ichigo had never been so mortified in his life.

Before Ichigo had found out that he was a Shinigami, before Rukia showed up in his bedroom one moonlit night, the teenager had one pleasure he liked to indulge in when left alone.
Reading. Yes, Ichigo Kurosaki actually picked up a book and read sometimes. Why else would he be up in his room all the time? Besides obvious, perverted reasons that one might think of a 15-year-old, the Shinigami sat in his room because it was the only place he could get away from his rambunctious family. He loved them dearly, but for the love of God, can’t a person get some peace and quiet?
Now that he’s a Shinigami representative/Vaizard, it’s almost impossible. So, on a particular windy afternoon, Ichigo got to sit inside and catch up on reading. Of course, when Grimmjow had stopped by for a visit, he thought that moment was over. Luckily, though, the arrancar had dropped by to get away from Aizen and had fallen asleep in his lap. After that, he had drowned everything else out to continue his activity.
"Hey, Ichigo."
"Huh?" He replied, still nose-deep in the novel.
"Look over there," the Arrancar pointed to the foot of his bed.
"Why?"
"Just look." Ichigo sighed as he put down the book to look at the end of the bed. Nothing. He was about to ask what all that had been about, but the other drowned those words in a kiss. Grimmjow smirked.
"Nevermind."
Suddenly, the book didn’t look so inviting.

It is a relationship that will forever be seen as confusing. What Ichigo Kurosaki and Grimmjow Jaggerjack had was not something that normal couples would call a "relationship".
While in a relationship, one partner must give up so that the other partner can be happy. Vice versa and etc. Each partner in the Kurosaki/Jaggerjack relationship is not ready to give up anything, unless it profits both of them. Happiness is, most of the time, not a profitable thing. Now, do not let this confuse you into thinking that the two do not care about each other.
This is totally untrue.
The two care for each other.
In a ‘No, I don’t give a shit what you do, but if you let someone else kill you, I’m totally dying just to make fun of you in the afterlife’. Sweet, isn’t it?
Also, in a relationship, one partner is essentially not complete without the other. This fact is completely true in this particular relationship, but not in the traditional sense. It’s more of a ‘We’re rivals’ type of bond. Of course, the two do complete each other in a sarcastic sense. They’re essentially the same personality, just on opposite sides.
Finally in a relationship-this is not required by any means, but it helps--, both partners should be attracted to each other. This fact is quite firmly established in this relationship, especially with all the late night visits and stolen kisses. It’s a routine in their relationship that they must see each at least four times in a week. No sex means extremely pissed off Shinigami and/or Espada. Who wants to deal with that?
I mean, if you thought these two were together because they enjoyed the witty banter, than I must ask one question.
