Well, I never expected that...

Have actually finished writing a book.

OK, it ends with multiple cliff-hangers, but it is actually finished.

It's a roller-coaster ride of emotion, Dragons, violence, evil corporations, wierd dimensional stuff, violence, super-vamp hit women, teenage geniuses, violence and not one hot gypsy in sight.

I'll sell you a copy now...

I'm afraid I refuse to purchase any book without hot gypsies.

you really need to see the belly dance superstars, they have women disguised as hot gypsies. They may or may not be of Romany extraction.

Go you! When do we get to read it?

Well, I said I'd let you have a read. I can mail it to you if you want. It'd be quite a good by-line: So good it induces labour in pregnant women...

At this point I'm willing to try anything, even super-vamp hit women :-)

I expect so, your literacy and reading skills seem quite advanced. Oh, sorry... I see, guess so...

Ah, they only seem advanced!

And of course this has reminded me I still have some research to do for you. (Oh, I am just so speedy with the research)

What's it called?

Are you going to "send it off"?

It's called 'Valentine Drake', and initially started as a fairly simple kids story. Unfortunately I started thinking about the logical implications of the way our world works in relation to some of the characters and what they are, it expanded, got darker and seems to be in a funny sort of nether-space as far as who it's aimed at.

I'm hoping to get it published, but am looking to have it gone over by a professional reading service first.

You silly, twisted boy! 8-)

Congrats on finally squeezing it out. Sadly I'm neck-deep in work-related reading for the next n months, so I'll have to wait for the Hollywood Blockbuster movie.

Or the Blockbuster Video DVD, depending on the reviews! >;-)

Steady on, old boy, that's a couple of steps down the line, need to get published and sell more than 5 copies first.
Admittedly, though, I have already started figuring out who's going to play whom (I'm holding out for Mark Dacascos or Johnny Depp to play Valentine)
