Contest stuffs.

So i was doing my picture for a Sims2Supernova contest thingy and hubby is looking at me super weird cause i'm staring at 7 VERY similar pictures, whining about how they ARE in fact different and i HAVE to choose one. He is like "You are crazy! They are THE SAME!" But they are not. See?

This is exactly what I do, too! I take a picture from a thousand different angles and change tons of tiny things around that really shouldn't matter but make an immense difference in my mind, haha. Then again I'm super nitpicky when it comes to details as well. But I probably would've chose number 3, too. :D

Haha, good to know i'm not the only one doing this :D I kept moving the lights around, adding new ones, trying to get the best lighting, cause i wasn't allowed to edit the pics. The lighting in the last 3 i liked better because they looked almost like having Sepia effect done and the theme was "vintage". But the posing of #3 won over lighting.

This is why I no longer compete in contests...lol!
I do the exact same thing. I am constantly moving the set around, changing the angle, the lighting, the pose...you name, I change it. (And of course taking dozens of strangely similar photos along the way!)

Anyway, I think you did a great job this round Rosie!

It's nice to know that you guys all do it, too. Hah, getting set and decor the way i wanted it did take quite a few more pics before this. Those were just the final round of similar photos to stare at :D

I do that too! Or, well, I used to when I had the time to compete in contests :(
I can see the differences, and I think you're right, 3 is the pick of the bunch. And Ilike the lighting in it actually better than 4-7 - it's soft and warm, not too dark but not too bright <3

I miss seeing your contest entries. You make such purrrdy "posed" pictures. Aren't you kiddos gonna be getting a summer vacation soon?

Yep. The third one's the winner! It has the best lighting form the first three (which are the same pose, but with different editing/lighting and there's an unnoticeable angle change in the third pic). I think it has the best expression for the bunch as it's not exaggerated and it shows just enough (if that makes any sense).

I don't do that for the contest... because I don't do contest!! :-P but for my story I do this and much more... sometimes I have up to 10/12 photos to choose just one... it's complicated :-S
As you said, the light of the last four is better... but the poses and espression of the first three are the best. Maybe I've a little preference on the first, but just because is more centered on charachters... but the difference it's veeeery little! (and of course it's just my -also little- opinion :-D) in any case, good luck for the contest! :)
