I've been wanting to get back into Sims2 since... last time i posted on here. But. The amount of CC i've missed is so overwhelming (and the pile only keeps getting bigger), i don't know where to start. So i just... don't. I have to clean out my DL folder, to be able to fit anything new into it (self-imposed 20 GB limit), but it seems like so much ( Read more... )

Wait, you have a self-imposed 20 GB limit?? *jealousy waves*

I guess you could start from scratch. Is there a certain style you've always wanted to try? Or perhaps you could put in one folder at a time and cull it through BS and the game, to see what you'd really like to keep.

I personally just start over, even though it is a pain in the ass. I've very comfortable with how my game is now--it's kind of Maxis Matchy but not really? It can be fun to change up your style. :)

Getting back to TS2 was easy for me actually. I had like a year break few years ago and I also had probably 6months-10months break when I got into TS3. I just started fresh. I only started with very minimal CC, like default skins, and a few makeup that I saved. I didn't even bother with hacks yet. Then the rest of the CC i got over time. Its actually more fun to get back into TS2 after a long break, because i kind of forgot all the little things that made me love the game, esp after playin TS3 for a while.

I had a long break too but I just kind of started from scratch. I do have 2 neighbourhoods (grungy and medieval) that I will keep as they are and only get more stuff for them ;-) but my "just for fun play"-game I started from zero. I tried to keep it very minimal and somewhat maxis matchy but I have to admit that I have sorely failed at that... Although, it has been fun...
