He looked at her with arms wide as she was ready to turn and walk away. His eyes pleaded with her to stay as he stepped forward, trying to bring her to him. She turned and tried to run but his hand was securely wrapped around her slender wrist. She pulled away and ran as hard and fast as her small body could manage.

A cut so deep I don't deserve

The only thing against us now is time
He heard the rustling of the bushes as she left. His knees gave out from under him as tears threatened to fall. He couldn't believe it was happening. Why him, with her? Anyone else. It hurt too much for him to bear.

A quick fix of hope is what I'm needing

Three years later he had gotten a letter from her brother saying his past love had died. Knowing he still felt the little prick of love that had been huge years ago. He went to her funeral 5 days ahead.

'What would she leave for me?'They walked down long hallways turning this way and that. Until ending up at a desk in the middle of a hall. THe boy picked up a light green envelope and handed it to the older man.
"I shall leave you for now." He bowed and walked down to where they has been just not even a minuet ago.

If your reading this I am gone and for that I am sorry, my last words to you having been 'I hate you' when they were the exact opposite.
I loved you, you scared me that night and I ran. I want you to know that and when your time comes, you should know that I will be here for you.
