I just wanted to announce for the first time in over 15 years, my primary home directory is not on a linux machine, virtual or otherwise.

I'm on a mac. It's pretty close, considering the BSD running in the background, but it's not linux, that's for sure. Why, oh why, must HFS+ use NFD encoding instead of the POSIX NFC standard for unicode characters? WTF with case insensitivity?!? But whatever. I'll live within those restrictions.
