I love it! Very cute but definitely spot-on in John's thinking! I particularly like the line about "Playing him like he had been playing the tarantella" (which I know was the prompt) and how it was put into the story. Yay!

And I misread "John jammed his hands in his pockets" to be something along the lines of John sticking his hands into his pockets, which were filled with jam. I honestly thought you'd turned 'jam' into a verb, where 'to jam' would mean something like 'to cover in jam'.

Clearly this fandom is affecting my brain.
