My Chucks appeal to me because people can spill beer all over them at parties and it doesn't make me upset. After all, they are "old school" and therefore considered even more fashionable and "legit" when they are incredibly dirty. Plus, I got mine in Seattle, which gives me even more "street cred," since Seattle is the birthplace of the "grunge" movement, which Chucks are a symbol of. I believe people can sense this about my shoes, and that's why I get compliments about them. This, in turn, makes me feel good, and wear the shoes again when I know I will be around drunk people who will compliment my shoes and then spill drinks on them
