Hi guys - I was making a horror zine called Midnight Society but have had to put it on the backburner for
Some of you may remember me - I was making a horror zine called Midnight Society and all of you expressed some kind of interest in either reading or contributing to it. I'd like to start by saying thank you so much for any suggestions or encouragement you gave, it was great to know so many people were keen to read it.
Unfortunately, things have been pretty crazy for me in the last month or so - family stuff, unemployment (hence NO money for zine-making), horrible tonsillitis and an unexpected trip to Ireland to visit my nanna. I've finally come to the conclusion that Midnight Society Zine isn't going to happen, not for a long while anyway. I'm pretty disappointed that it didn't get off the ground but it's just not the right time at the moment and so I want to say a huge sorry to those of you that sent me contributions. They were all wonderful and I was really excited about including them in the zine.
I have, however, decided to turn the zine into a blog, for now. It's a hell of a lot easier to keep up and means I don't have to break the bank to print, copy and send anything out. I'd really love it if you would check it out - http://msociety.wordpress.com/ - it's still in the early stages but I'm hoping to build it up into something pretty good, and am still very much open to suggestions and contributions.
To those of you who sent me articles/poems etc and would still like to see them in print, I would be very happy to publish them on the blog or even just link to them.
So, thanks again for all your support and interest. I'm quite excited about getting the blog going, and I'd really love if you'd leave a comment or subscribe so you can read future entries.
