Evite Question

Sep 16, 2008 13:37

If you invite someone via evite, but then want to rescind the invite via "remove guest" what happens?  Does that person ever know they were invited (assuming they never looked at the invite in the first place)?

I think so... since evite generates an email to the recipient. It can't rescind the email, so the uninvited recipient would still have the original email.

You should be able to tell if they've looked at the invite though. It should indicate a date it was viewed. OF course, just because it has not been viewed yet, does not mean it never will be or was not delivered.

What prompted this dilemma? First grade friendship drama? I hope you're hot having these issues like we did last year!

I know they didn't look at it. I pulled the invite but don't know what will happen when they see the email. What will happen when she clicks on the link in the email?

Nothing like last year....K gave me her list this morning but at lunch she told me she changed her mind about one of the girls and wanted to invite someone else (who is in her class and it turns out lives around the corner!). We are limited to an exact number so I thought if it was easy, we'd just do a switch. I figure worst case I will re-invite her on the guise that I had to make a change or something :-) Little white lies...

Yep, we ended up reinviting the girl, but before her parents saw the invite, so I'm 99.9% sure they'll never know :-)
