While I don't have any good advice for you, I'll note that I also have a problem missing calls (on my free-with-two-year-contract Sprint phone) if (a) it's on vibrate [which it always is] and (b) I'm standing up or [especially] walking. I love this phone sufficiently little that I'm probably in the market for a new phone, but not for another 13 months still.

You can probably leave it on ringer (in your apartment, anyway) without being too much of an annoyance to anyone, I'd imagine.

Then again, maybe I've just been desensitized by roommate's loud and obnoxious ring tone. (And even that mostly just amuses me.) ok, this is not a technical fix, but still. :)

Yeah, I should try that. (It would be around the whole house, though, I think.)

It wouldn't help at work or in a bookstore (as this evening, for example), but it would cover a large percentage of cases!

I'm not sure if I meant house or apartment, anyway (and the boundary is fuzzier than usual in your case).

bookstore? :)

I do not know about your phone in particular, but I do know that *some* phones do support some klugy ringtone format that includes instructions to vibrate. Mine is not one of them, so I dropped my investigation of the matter once I figured that out.

Good to know that it might be a possibility.

I have the same model and have the same issue at times... please keep me posted if you find a solution...

Mind you, we're thinking of switching to the Treo 680 (purplelawyer) and possibly Treo 700 (me) sometime soon.
