In the interest of keeping this community flowing, here's some stuff I would like to show off (at least I'm honest, no?), and some info about a few shows that are coming up in the LA vicinity.
The British Invasion looks like a good time.
The Dolls stayed at the hotel where I work on their recent CA tour.
I was almost pissing myself with excitement, as you can imagine. Once they learned I was a fan, I got pizza, champagne and free tickets to their show. Sometimes I really love my life.
And a random story for all of you bored souls:
A few months ago I found myself in the company of a few people who were drunk, in my car, and looking for somewhere to party. Some of us had just come back from seeing the Adicts, DI and a few other bands in Malibu. Anyway. It was 5 am, so I brought them over to my place as I'm always well stocked in the booze department. One of the people turned out to be a member of the long dead Catholic Discipline.
He picked up my guitar and played a song for me, asking my name so he could incorporate it into the lyrics: by the time he got to the chorus he'd forgotten it. He started over and when it was time for the chorus, he once again asked me my name.
This went on for a half-hour. Very amusing :)
Oh, and for those of you who don't already know this, ebay is a great source for the financially impaired. I just yanked a Johnny Thunders picture disk for about 5 bucks and a 3 disk-set of his for about 15. It could happen to you, too. Floss often. Damn, I'm drunk.
