Alright. Yay me. As of 5:00 this afternoon I have completed the MATC motorcycle safety course.  now comes the hard part.  Finding room in the budget for one.  I pay off my car in November.  That is generally considered to be poor riding weather.  Although it might be good motorcycle buying weather.  Of course I could scrimp and scrounge and buy one earlier ( Read more... )

     So yesterday I did the horribly hilly hundreds.  134 miles.  5000 vertical feet of climbing. 11 hours 4 minutes of saddle time. Heat index well over 100.  I know it is a ride not a race, but I still finished really far back.  I finished ahead of everyone that had mechanical ride ending mechanical problems, everyone that had ride ending ( Read more... )

I am still feeling a bit wobbly this morning, yesterday turned out to be one of my tougher training rides,  120 miles with lots of hill and intermittent rain.  I lost 5 or 6 pounds over the course of my ride, i need to remember even though it is raining i still need to drink.  unfortunately the lower gearing didn't help as much as i would have ( Read more... )
