Mysterious
Twilight was his favorite time of the day, for its allure and mystique. Its mystic touch would reach out to touch those who would dare bask in these hours. A pale light painting the sky, and singing with promises not meant to be heard. Minutes before the sky is painted black and dotted with stars, and few hours after the sun has dropped below the horizon. Yet, what drew him most about Twilight is the feeling of completely peace, and yet, momentous energy that filled his being.
However, it was the mystery of Twilight that landed him in the predicament he found himself in. Brown locks matching his were in his eye line, and blue eyes similar to his were staring into his own. Squall blinked as he saw an overlapping of gold onto those orbs of blue. Wishes were extremely dangerous during the hour of twilight, and Squall wished that he would have adhered that warning.
He had been wondering if he had any true family outside his bloodline. The words had formed in his mind, and before he could stop his lips his wish arrived. "I wish I had a brother." He muttered, and something strange happen then. It was like all the sound in the world was sucked into a void, and then regurgitated. There was a pin prick of green across his eye sight and then this person before him.
"Is this paradise?" The other male questioned, and Squall heard a slight growl behind it.
"Not hardly." Squall admitted. He saw a glare on the other male, and forced himself to ask a question. "What’s your name?" Squall asked, and watched as the male became defensive.
"Why?" He asked.
"Well, I can’t very well call you, ‘Hey you,’ the whole time." Squall answered, the male had the right to look slightly abashed.
"Kiba." The male returned.
"No family name?" Squall asked.
"No..." Kiba growled out. Squall figured it was a sore subject. "What about you?" He inquired.
"Leonheart, Squall." He responded.
"Squall?" Kiba remarked. "Do you have another name?" He prodded while smirking.
"No," He bit out, "what’s wrong with Squall?" He asked slightly angered.
"Nothing, just not fear inspiring." Kiba answered.
"I suppose Kiba is?" Squall remarked back.
"It means Fang!" Kiba shouted.
"Wow, fear the mighty fang." Squall dead panned.
"Shut up." Kiba simpered. "So, where is here?" He asked while glancing around.
"Just on the edge of Balamb Garden." Squall answered.
"Balamb Garden?" Kiba parroted.
"Yes, Balamb Garden." Squall stressed out.
"That is?" Kiba inquired.
"Military Garden." Squall responded.
"Hmm." Kiba growled up while raising his shoulders like hackles. Squall was then treated to a transformation as Kiba morphed into a large white wolf with golden eyes. Kiba lowered himself to the ground, arched to pounce, but Squall only raised an eyebrow.
"Well, that was interesting." Squall stated and saw that he had confused the poor boy, wolf, eh, whatever.
"Human, do you seek to kill wolves?" Kiba voiced out. Squall found it a little interesting to see a human voice coming from a wolf.
"Only if they act me." Squall shrugged out. Squall flicked a glance at the sky and saw that black was starting to spread.
"Well, you’re okay for a human." Kiba stated and returned to his human skin.
"Whatever." Squall responded, and was shocked as Kiba began to fade. Twilight was ending and so was the strange affect of its powers, he waved a quick goodbye as the wolf-boy vanished. "Well, that was strange." He stated and began to turn. Shaking his head, he started walking to the garden. Squall offered his thoughts on the matter as he thought over what happened. Twilight is still his favorite time, but he be darned if he made any more comments about it. "Whatever." Squall finalized.
Casting one last look at the sky, he couldn’t help the next question. "So, what if I asked for a sister?" He inquired, if the sky could have sweat dropped, it would have.
