You capture two things here so well it hurts: the very nature of depression, which causes so many of its sufferers to hear only scorn and opposition when care and support are intended; and the problem of the military active duty and veterans' health care system in the US (I don't know much about elsewhere), which takes people who need mental health care and throws them back into combat, or ignores them in favor of devoting all resources to the more politically correct physical injuries, or just throws them away and discharges them for a preexisting personality defect or some such bullcrap.
And as a future... line-weaver, I love that nickname. =)
I too like the term 'line-weaver' for a Cybertronian psychologist and I think this is a nicely done fic. I like that Bumblebee is a nice guy but not a doormat and you capture Powerglide's voice very well. I was very happy to see this entry pop up on my f-list!
