The last scandal of my life
7daywar
I don't really own the plot or the characters. Lol.
Heavy r.
Yunho is a businessman and his wife Tiffany is pregnant with their twins, so he decides to have their butler Changmin go out and find them a housemaid (even though they already have one, Jessica). He finds a poor Noodle Shop worker by the name of Kim Jaejoong (who has no idea what he's just signed up for) and then things get a bit crazy as Yunho decides that he wants Jaejoong, Jessica finds out she's pregnant with Yunho's baby, Changmin makes things worse, Tiffany becomes a scorned woman, her mother Taeyeon wickedly gets involved and Jaejoong wonders what the hell is going on. Based on the Korean movie 'The Housemaid'.
author's note: this story is based heavily off the re-made version of 'the housemaid' a movie with a bizarre and completely out of place ending that i'm still scratching my head over hours later. it was madness. this three-parter will follow it closely, though with my own little twist and yes, no one is going to die at the end of this, not even Jessica. that ending was just beyond retarded.
"Say what?" Yoochun said as him and Jaejoong walked arm and arm around a water fountain.
"I couldn't make this up if I tried Chun-ah. The Master of the house sneaks into my room at night and sleeps with me for some reason, even though he's married with a child and about to have twins! He first did it when we went on that weekend winter retreat, and then again before he went on a business trip. Then there's Jessica, the housemaid before me. She's obsessed with him and I don't know if the Lady knows or not but she can't stand her and has me do everything for her even though it's Jessica's job to look after her."
"And the weirdest thing by far as to be Changmin-ah, the Master is his older brother yet he works for him as a butler or something and he's so knowing, it's really creepy. Then the craziest thing by far happened a day after the Master left on his trip."
"What could be crazier then what you have already told me?" Yoochun's smiling eyes were shining, his mouth a thin and worried line.
"I think the Lady's mother tried to kill Jessica."
Yoochun was afraid to let go of Jaejoong's hand once they had returned to the Jung Estate, so scared that he might never see his best-friend again. Jaejoong tried to assure him that he would be alright, especially since the Master was away right now, but Yoochun still refused to let him go.
"Haven't you been saving up the money he's been giving you?"
"Of course I have. After that incident at the winter home my pay increased by ten-fold. I have enough money saved away for us to get a decent apartment in a reasonable neighborhood and pay the rent off a couple months in advance."
"Then come on," Yoochun urged. "Let's take that and get the hell out of here!"
Jaejoong gave Yoochun a sad stare.
"I can't Yoochun, it's complicated."
Yoochun's stare was accusatory.
"Are you in love with Jung Yunho?" It almost made him want to throw up that Jaejoong could be even remotely attracted to someone who would force him to sleep with him, just because he could. Jaejoong didn't answer just gave Yoochun a kiss on the cheek and ran off.
"See you again!" He shouted back over his shoulder before opening the front entrance to the Jung Estate and disappearing inside of it.
It was a week later when Jessica was let out of the hospital with a heavy prescription for pain pills and a medicinal drink said to heal her body as well as provide nutrients for her unborn child. The house was eerily silent upon her return, but Jaejoong appeared to help her up to her room.
Jessica sighed as she sat down on her bed.
"You can leave me, I'll be fine."
"Are you sure?" Tiffany's mother had moved in since the accident, so he didn't think the other woman was safe at all, especially if what he thought about the 'accident' to be true.
"Yes, leave me alone, I want to rest."
Jaejoong wanted to plead his case, but decided to just leave her alone. Yunji would be home soon and he needed to be there to greet him. He exited the room and Jessica stood to close the door, going back over to her bed and letting out a heavy sigh, before pulling off her neck brace and testing her tender neck.
Jessica drunk one of the drinks prescribed to her and then laid down to take a nap.
Tiffany screamed once she found out from her peeping mother that Jessica had returned to the estate. Her sharp nails digging into her throw pillow and tearing it nearly down the middle in her anger.
"How could that bastard stoop so low as to fuck that dirty housemaid!?"
"You must confront her! She's been sleeping with your husband behind your back, will you just stand by and let her continue to disgrace you and your home!?"
Tiffany looked liked she wanted to shoot lasers from her eyes, she held onto her stomach and screamed for Changmin.
Jaejoong had made Yunji some lunch and was listening to the Little Master talk about his day at school when an unsettling feeling came over him.
"Yunji-ah you don't mind sitting alone for a moment while I go see about something do you?"
Yunji blinked his huge innocent eyes up at him. "Not at all." He was so proper.
Jaejoong patted his head and walked off. He could feel his heart slowing down in his chest due to his unease as he neared the spiral staircase that led to the upper floor.
Changmin held on to Jessica's arm, a tense look on his face. "It's a trap, you're walking into a trap."
Jessica shrugged off his hand and flipped her long black hair over her shoulder. "I'm not afraid." She pushed open the door and entered, completely unaware of exactly what she was walking in on.
Jaejoong made it to the top of the staircase, his eyes meeting Changmin's.
Tiffany was seated on the end of her bed, her small hands massaging the massive girth of her round stomach. Her mom stood beside her, one hand on her shoulder. Jessica sat down on the seat in front of them, the hair's rising on the back of her neck at the animosity she could see in both of their eyes.
"You needed to see me madam?" Jessica asked, her eyes darting from Tiffany to her mother.
Tiffany cut her eyes at Jessica before standing up, separating the short distance between them and slapping her sound across the face. The sting was something terrible and Jessica let out a small sound of pain as her head snapped to the side. Tiffany was heaving now, her mom rubbing soothing circles into her back and telling her to calm down.
"We know what you did slut," Taeyeon spat out.
Jessica was at an absolute loss for words. How the hell could they have known that her and Yunho were sleeping together? Did she somehow let it slip without saying a word? Jessica wrapped her arm around her stomach in a gesture of protection. Did they know that she was pregnant with his baby as well?
Seeing this something clicked inside of Tiffany's head and she slapped Jessica in the face again and then again, making the other woman fall out of the chair she was sitting on. Taeyeon restrained her, chastising her and telling her to calm down before she forced herself into premature labor. The door to the room opened and Changmin and Jaejoong filed inside, Changmin shaking his head at seeing Jessica sprawled out on the floor, her face red from being slapped.
Jaejoong rushed to her side and helped her up. Tears were streaming down her face as Jessica tried to hold in her cries.
"Get out! I don't want you here any longer! You're fired!" Tiffany raged. Jaejoong led Jessica out, who broke away from him and ran off down the hallway to her room.
Later that night Changmin entered Jessica's room to see her curled up in the fetal position on her bed. She had not made any move to pack and Changmin could only shake his head as a result.
"Do you not realize you and your baby are in danger if you stay here? Leave while you still have a chance. You have enough money, go, find someone else and live a simple and good life far away from here."
Jessica threw a pillow at him. It bounced off of Changmin's chest and he retaliated by giving her an irritated stare.
"I have to tell Yunho-shii that this is his child. I don't know how they found out, but I'm not leaving until he hears it from me!"
"You're being foolish. Do you think for one second that my arrogant brother is going to take care of your bastard child?"
"How dare you--"
"I warned you," Changmin snapped, running out of patience. "Get out of here and don't look back, you will surely regret it if you don't."
Dinner was a tense affair and Yunho was due home that night as well, so Jaejoong was in the kitchen for the latter half of the day cooking. He couldn't get Jessica out of his mind, or the sounds of her face being slapped. It made his face burn with shame to know that he had fell into Yunho's trap just as she had and allowed the other man to ensnare his heart. Would they do him the same way if they found out? Jaejoong shuddered at the thought.
"That bitch is still here!" Tiffany fumed as Jaejoong set out the dishware. Yunji was throwing him odd glances from behind his glass and Jaejoong wondered if the Little Master wanted to tell him something.
"Jaejoong-ah, be a dear and fill my glass," Taeyeon ordered cheerfully. "Do not worry your pretty little head darling, let her stay."
"What? Mother, whose side are you on?"
"Yours of course, just trust me dear, I will take care of everything."
Jaejoong didn't like the sound of that.
Yunho returned late the next day and was surprised to see only Changmin and Jaejoong there to greet him.
"Where is my wife and son? And why isn't Jessica here? Did something happen while I was away?"
Changmin snorted. "I suggest you take this up with your wife sir."
Jaejoong refused to meet the Yunho's intense stare, even when he passed by him so close that their shoulders touched. Changmin caught up with his brother as he bypassed the staircase and went straight to the living area. He reached for Yunho's elbow but knew that that would be a bad idea. Changmin motioned for Jaejoong to go and get Jessica.
"I can tell that you are agitated, why don't you go play the piano to soothe your nerves and I will bring you something to drink?"
"I'd prefer Jaejoong-ah to bring me something to drink."
Of course you would... "I will have Jaejoong-ah do just that, but first try to relax before going up there to see madam, she isn't in a very good mood at the moment."
"What else is new?" Yunho said savagely as he loosened his tie.
Changmin caught the two coming down the stairwell, Jessica looking very pale but determined.
"Jae, I want you to take him some wine first and be generous with it, understood?"
"I can take him the wine--"
"Don't be daft, he's going to need to be well and drunk when you tell him what you have to tell him. It's frustrating that you won't listen to me, but from here on out, you're on your own--both of you."
Jaejoong was terribly nervous as he entered the music room. Yunho ghosting his fingers over the keys but refusing to play. Jaejoong stood by the doorway building up enough nerve before he walked over to the other man and set the bottle of red wine down on top of the piano followed by Yunho's wine glass. He popped off the cork in silence, ignoring Yunho's gaze on his form as he poured the wine delicately into the glass. Yunho reached for him and touched Jaejoong's pale wrist, running the pads of his fingers over the soft skin.
Their eyes met for a brief moment before Jessica barging into the music room interrupted them. Yunho rose from his seat an annoyed expression on his face.
"Jessica--"
"I need to talk to you sir, it's important!"
"I'm sure whatever it is it can wait until I have finished my drink."
Jaejoong knew what was coming and he didn't want to be a part of it (Yunji needed him to go to bed anyway). He handed Yunho his drink and bowed to him just as Jessica started him violently by shouting:
"To hell with your drink! I'm pregnant."
Jaejoong in that moment wished the ground would just open up and swallow him whole. Yunho's eyes had widened in shock and he ordered Jaejoong to leave immediately, in which Jaejoong wasted no time in doing. As he exited the music room hurrying pass a perplexed Changmin and up the staircase to Yunji's room he wondered vaguely why his heart was breaking. He'd already known of Yunho and Jessica's relations. He already knew that she was pregnant and the baby was Yunho's. So, why did hearing it come from her mouth make it so final? Why did it make him want to cry?
"You're what?"
"I'm pregnant; it's yours."
Yunho just stared at her, as if she were speaking another language. Jessica felt as if someone where draining the very blood from her heart. Yunho wanted her to get rid of the baby, she could see it written as clear as day on his face. Jessica let out a bitter, humorless laugh.
"You want me to abort it don't you? You piece of shit! I won't do any such thing! Even if I have to take care of this baby by myself--"
Yunho walked toward her briskly and pulled her into a crushing hug.
"I wasn't thinking anything like that... get a hold of yourself... is it really mine?"
Jessica sucked in a deep breath. "Yes."
"Then I will take care of the both of you, do not worry."
The tears filled Jessica's eyes and she gripped Yunho's back, sobbing quietly into his chest. Outside of the music room Changmin leaned his ear away from the door and frowned.
Tiffany took her mother's heeding and did not confront Yunho about his adultery, she however refused to speak to him or let him touch her. It made Yunho wonder if she knew, but if she did, he was glad she wasn't making a scene about it, especially considering that her acting out on her emotions could be bad for their unborn twins.
He thought about going to see Jaejoong, but knew that that would be a bad idea (for tonight anyway). Yunho wasn't quite sure on what he was going to do about Jessica and the fact that she was now pregnant by him, but he had to figure out some way to convince the other woman to leave before her baby bump became noticeable. Yunho could afford to take care of her and her baby from afar, but he could not afford an divorce or the huge scandal such a thing would cause.
Jessica had a ultra-sound visit the next day and asked (quite reluctantly) for Jaejoong to come with her since she didn't want to be by herself. He was the only person in that house that she trusted, and she needed the extra support. Taeyeon used this as an excuse to sneak into her room and replace her supplement drinks with a little supplement drink of her own. The fall may not have lead to her miscarrying the baby, but this most surely would.
Taeyeon smiled cruelly to herself. How dare that bitch try to replace my daughter, I will make her wish she had never opened her legs to him.
