It's amazing how different news seems to be in Iraq from the people who are actually there...seems a lot better than the media portrays it to be.

It is important to remember the target audience of news off the military's web site is primariliy family members and other service men. They don't want to hear about how many innocent people thier sons and daughters are killing as they storm a insurgent stronghold or drop a laser guided bomb on a camp next to a busy market. The news on that site is ment to promote the moral of the families as much as possible.

My point is that the media happens to favor the anti-war crowd and somehow misses all the good news that happens in Iraq. Plus, people I know that are over there or have been over tell me that its not anything like the news is showing. I know bad things happen, but in reverse, the news knows good things happen, but they don't report that and so liberals blame Pres. Bush because they believe the lies of the news media and Michael Moore.
