What a wretched thing modern times have done to this holiday. They cheapen the true meaning and purpose with obscene costumes, over indulgence in alcohol, vandalism and processed sugar.

It's sickening. These people wouldn't know a real witch if she walked up and smacked them in the face.

They've done a variety of things to various holidays to suit their times and cultures.

Not all celebrate it the same.

They are doing it wrong. That is all there is to it. If someone constantly misspoke your name to your face, even when they know it's not the correct way, would you not be offended? I think so.

How would you feel if suddenly everyone thought of you as some fat slovenly idiot? Wouldn't you be angered at their gross misrepresentation of you?

Perhaps, ironically, the best thing about it all is that they honestly do not seem to care. That must be so nice for them.

I simply don't find much of a point in fighting a battle where there is never going to be a winner. Sounds dull.

That would be a monumental undertaking. Though there are several covens in the area that I'm sure would love to educate the foolish. If they had the appropriate figure head.

I don't wish to be the winner. I simply want what I do to be properly respected. Sitting idly by while fools run rampant is what caused the Inquisition, the Salem Witch Trials and the Holocaust.
