We're almost there and no where near it, all that matters is that we're going

So, I don't remember exactly when, but sometime this weekend, in the car (I vaguely remember we were on the way to the highschool) this song was on the radio. I don't know why I like it really. Sentimental attatchement I suppose. One of those 90s songs you hear on the radio and think back to another time. anyhoo, here are the lyrics ( Read more... )

Nyquil does some pretty profound stuff. I love it when you write these things nyquil or not. They're honest and forward...I mean, they're just the types of thing your mother would die from if she read them. I mean, if she got past the donuts.
Excellent post. We can't hate the Catholics but I'm pretty sure we can give them blank stares and think "....what?".
Not saying the Creed or what ever? Very nice. If it's lying dont do it. I've refused communion before because God and I werent on speaking terms. Meaning is lost in tradition sometimes.

Love ya,
Aimee

Is a united place of heretics and blasphemers. From the day you are born you are taught things that are unbiblical and frankly wrong. For instance: baptism of infants is totally wrong, because baptism is a symbol of an inner choice made to serve God and welcome His son as your Savior. There is an age of accountability... it isn't a set age, but still.. an infant cannot make that choice. Also, 'sprinkling' baptisms are wrong too, because the only biblical form of baptism is full emersion in the water, to symbolize death and resurrection. To do otherwise is a crime against God ( ... )

My parents were raised baptists.
I must say I enjoyed your church the few times we went there. I wonder why we didn't switch to that church...
I went to Trent's Methodist church and I didn't like it much. It was very showy I thought. It was a lot like Leslie's church which was quite the work out(kneel stand kneel sit KNEEL SIT stand KNEEL).
I think you would like Greg Hunts sermons. He's the youth minister at my church--Windsor Road Christian Church. Leslie can back me up on this because I think you two are all too alike.

I agree with everything you've said and, although some of it is news to me, I think on some level I've always known. My teachers at St. Thomas hated me. I would question their authority, and their faith, and they would stand up there and point at the book and at their curriculum like that was the answer. I sometimes wondered what it would be like if I took away their teacher's edition, what would be left of their knowledge. Anyway, we would have history lessons and such and there would be mention of the cruisades and then they'd turn around and teach us Catholocism, which is really this gigantic contradict. How can something that is supposed to be founded by God cause so much pain and sin? And it's not like I was questioning them to be a smart aleck or whatever, I honestly wanted to know. I still do. So I guess I don't really have an answer to your question 'what do you believe?' I know that I believe in God, and in Jesus. And maybe that's all I need. *shrugs* I don't know, I just really don't know. Right now I'm searching I suppose. ( ... )

Oh yeah... i love that song too. Jaron and I were talkin' about performing 'say it ain't so' by weezer for the Fine Arts shindig. Perhaps we could change it to an all 90's showcase.
