...What show was this? I just figured it was in the same vein as Tinky-Winky.

The show is called Postcards from Buster. It's actually a spinoff of Arthur, that show about the aardvark kid. It's about this rabbit (Buster) who travels across America, visiting places and meeting all sorts of families of different ethnicities and religions. Apparently Margaret Spellings, the Secretary of Education, got very upset, because when Buster visited Vermont, he met a family with two moms.

Basically, there was a whole lot of controversy over nothing.
