Do you know what I find funny? You have a good point here, yes? (I think so, at least.)
I don't know whether you live in the States or not, but it appears that if you go around pointing out stuff like this, you're more or less boo'd-and-hissed down. I'm wondering what happened to freedom of speech and freedom of opinion.

Anyways, don't mind me, I'm a random wanderer.

I think freedom of speech and freedom of opinion were killed with the Patriot Act ;)

and yes, I'm from the States

Quite likely. Gah. I would say that I'm glad I live in Canada, only we're being pressured by the US Government to go along with whatever they say-- more or less.

Depends on where you live in the States. As a resident of Los Angeles, nigh onto Hollywood, I'm pretty sure I'd be pretty safe in most cases, or even get enthusiastic agreement.

And, anyway, if someone boos and hisses you, they're exercising their freedom of speech and opinion. As long as they don't lynch you....

VERY GOOD POINTS question: the U.S government is saying their giving Iraq the "chose" of democracy. but with if after the smoke has clear Iraq citizen say "think you we didn't want a Guy like Saddam ruling us, but we don't want democracy, we like our system of religion in government we would like a new leader, but keep our government." do you really think the U.s.A will say o.k and walk away. The U.S.A talks a about freeing the people, but I think they want to free them so that they can install a puppet government that will let The U.S.A control the oil. Much like Lincoln freeing the slaves something good comes out of a very selfish act, then we find out later that it a trick. also if after the war the U.S.A does try to install a puppet government then we will have world war 3. People are going to fight over who gets to control the oil and no one going to sit by and let the U.S.A do it apically the French.

They'll allow an American-friendly party to rule. If there is any opposition with any other groups that aren't pro-American aka pro-oil, the US will most likely say they were tied to Saddam or some other excuse to push propaganda to not allow that certain group to run the government. As for WWIII, I think if the US keeps going after Middle Eastern countries, they will eventually get sick of this and strike back.

No chigga-shanickity. What's the best way to unite people? Attack some of them. What a lot of people don't realize is that the 'middle eastern' countries and religions aren't one big group. They're different countries with old rivalries... and different sects of the same religion. Just like Christianity has many different sects (roman catholic, greek orthodox, prebytarian etc) the Islamic religion has different sects... right now, they mostly hate each other as much as the Christians sects in northern ireland do, but if the US keeps attacking, soon enough they will forget their past problems to cope with this new one...
Seriously. Good idea. Start a holy war... start a hundred more. *shakes head*

Hmm, am in a rant-y mood today, hey, at least I agree with you.

I know there are many different sects there, but I would think that area would support another country from their region, rather than the United States. From the list thanny posted awhile ago on my journal, the only Middle Eastern country that supported the war on Iraq was Afghanistan.

Yeah, if the United States keeps going after countries there, each of them will think there's a possibility they could be next.
