i think about us in pyjamas and sandals on an average bad hair day struggling to work our way around our tragedies to buy candy at the ages of eleven and nine and ten and things like grad school applications or e-mails from ex's cease to matter.

this is brilliant as per usual. I never wanted it to stop. I loved this: .. and call a friend to whine about it. besides the fact that you had a friend to call in the first place...

and this was all so beautiful and true Mehmet, it really got me. actually this was one of the most wonderful things I have ever read in a long time. it's right next to The Little Prince. and I'm not just saying that because you love it and I love it and it's brilliant, but it really really is. it has that same sort of whimsy and a lot of knowledge. but these paragraphs, I think, are more full of joy.

i read this comment yesterday and i keep coming back to it. i was so flattered by what you said i don't even know how to reply. i am just very happy that you like it... i felt really unsure of posting it when i finished. maybe because this is hardly a story.. mostly it's too personal. and i think it shows. i have a problem of hiding what is really mine and what isn't. i can't disguise anything at all. maybe that is a good thing after all. :*

It's been a rough bit and I want you to know how you remind me of what's in myself on a day when I only have this to say. I wish I'd had the time to come here before all of that came pouring out of me. Even though I try to live in your joyous world, I end up putting myself in a place that knocks me down and makes me question the whole world sometimes.

Thank you for putting life back in my mind.
