Well, Albany is much closer to all your peoples, especially the important one(s). Really, yeah, you can be poor and work anywhere. My ex has a master's degree in Ed from syracuse and can't find a job and is moving home next month. The market is a bitch.
well, i would imagine you have higher than average debt service expenses. and regular travel to and from the capital district can be expensive. we've discussed the move at great length and you know my feelings.
but further, i wouldnt describe you as poor. you've at least got friends who care about you. and thats more than anyone (even a guy with piles of money, and noone to spend it on, like myself) can buy. although i do own a yacht, so thats got to be worth at least like 3 friends.
oh that reminds me. if you moved back here i could take you on an extremely cheap yachting vacation (you;d probably need to buy some of your food/booze). so keep me in the loop.
yeah... but you dont have a yacht. just think... if you had 10 yachts... you'd have 30 friends. that's more friends than you'd ever need. I think you might need to rethink your game plan. :-P
and kathman. if he gets to go on the yacht, i get to too! i promise not to get in the way... well at least not totally in the way :-P
mike, you'll make it through this, you always do. Give it time and you'll move up the ladder at Hilton. this week front desk guy... next week bell man! and if moving back is what you really want to do, then go for it. i have a feeling there will be no protests back here in troy.
awww boo... i want a picture next to my name. it could be a coconut with sun glasses and it could be dancing. but it must be funky. someone get on that. now. and uh... get me a drink too! something with whiskey. *blank stare*
I always enjoy watching you reach epiphanies. (I'm 90% that's not how you spell that). Yes, I think that's how a great many people live. Yes, it's sad
( ... )
just so you know... i know there's an open rec for an mba in the marketing dept at my company. we're interviewing like crazy and i think they're going to hire someone soon. i'm sure it pays nicely... plus it's only 3.5 hr drive to albany. just let me know soon if you're looking for a change into the lighting controls/electronics industry, and i could try to get you an in. :) i'm tight with hr. ;)

I love Chicago, and it's been everything I hoped it would. But I think there are even better things for me back east.
We'll see. I'm working the network. And not half-assed, either. :)
