Because we all know that Lily's a fashion freak and would do anything just to kiss a "hot guy"...

Ah, yes.

WARNING: Before reading ahead, you should be informed that my ranting skills are rather undeveloped and I'm not very good at being funny. That being said, let the hilarity rant begin.

I suppose fics that portray Lily as a slut go into the Mary-Sue category, but I was looking for some good fics to read and found these:

OH DEAR MERLIN, I can't even bear to read the whole of those fics!

The first one is a joke, right? I mean, it HAS to be some sort of parody? Isn't it? Please say it is.

Though, I did laugh at ‘To my dearest flower’ Lily began…'oh fuck me’ and ‘Ready to go?’ She asked….’Hells ya’ And they did for some implausible reason. I blame too many hours on the laptop today.

Something particularly struck out to me though:

...in its sexy pony-tail curled like a little babies giggles in all the right places-just like her curves.

That completely backs up Kelly's rant on the overused line of "curves in all the right places". *facepalm*

As for the 2nd one:
She had won the national surfing competition for her age group and creamed everyone in the skateboarding comps in California.

WHAT? WHAT IS GOING ON? WHY? JUST.....WHY???

and:

'METERS AWAY'

...

...I think I may just kill that author. Seriously. Any fic involving cell phones is completely ridiculous.

Finally, the third:

Lily Evans walked slowly over to the awaiting limo.I clicked the 'x ( ... )

They amused me endlessly, though it's probably not nice to poke fun at the authors. *sighs* Still, though, they're portraying our lovely Lily and James in entirely the wrong way.

>.<

Lol, yes. Because we all know that Lily would ride in a limo and TEXT-MESSAGE James Potter...

Some authors just bring it on themselves, though. You can't not poke fun at stories like that.

How on earth do they get nice reviews? Its ridiculous.

That's exactly what I've always wondered. They get reviews like "Wonderful descriptions and you really BROUGHT OUT THE TRUE PERSONALITIES OF THE CHARACTERS [my arse]! Please update soon!"

Harharhar... har... har...

Yes.

Oh, Annie, thank you so much for this post!

My comments:

- First story: Ay, ay, ay! You're kidding me, right? I mean, I'm open to new interpretations of James and Lily (we don't really know all that much about them), but... really... geez.

- Second story: What is an 'eclectic' guitar? Anyways - I couldn't finish reading this. James, Sirius and Lily in California... no thanks.

- Third story: As you said, interesting. If you completely ignore the fact that the Marauders era took place somewhere in the late seventies... And can you see Petunia growing up in a family rich enough to have limos and stuff?
No... I couldn't finish reading this, either. It's not L/J fic. It reminds me of movies for teenagers - which I do watch, btw, but not if they're selling them to me as L/J fic.

See ya,
Anna.

Oh dear. I just realised that I posted the link to the second chapter of the third story... *cringes* and I can't go back and edit it. Ah well.

Eclectic guitar? I didn't notice that... I was too busy angsting over how terrible the characterizations were to notice those little things... ;)

They put 'eclectic' guitar?!

Saying this, I make just as bad typos *cringes* Maybe they were making a joke, like Mr. Weasley with the "eclectric" (or however he calls electricity).....maybe?

Somehow, I don't think so. And even if they did, it would be terribly OOC for Lily not to know the difference between an electric and an eclectic guitar, so either way, this one is doomed.

And I don't think I've ever seen you make such a horrible typo, btw.

See ya,
Anna.

Oh. My. God.
I am speechless.

WHY?! Why would these people write anything ever? I demand a life ban!

When they got there Lily slipped out of her jeans to revile her bikini.
Webster says: revile
transitive senses : to subject to verbal abuse : VITUPERATE
intransitive senses : to use abusive language : RAIL
Why is she hating on her bikini? Clearly she likes it.

(A/N Lily’s nickname is Lane, as in Lane Beachly. If you don’t know who she is then you were born in a cave, Lane is a surfer from Australia.)
Funny. I was born in a cardboard box, but I still didn't know who she was.

From her profile:
i want to write a letter to j.k rowling and ask if James mum had red hair... coz yer well umm wat else...sorry i told you i was anover absessed feak... ahh so much fun and im babeling...
O.O So many things... wrong... So wrong... But I must point out that I find it interesting that she's translating languages...

I can't do more. I think I'll pass out from sheer shock.

P.S. Icon love!

*laughs* Oh, that comment cracked me up, chika.

Revile... how ironic it would be if that was actually a word. Actually, it *might* be... *scurries off to dictionary.com*

Oh my God. It *is* a word.

re·vile
v. re·viled, re·vil·ing, re·viles
v. tr.

To assail with abusive language; vituperate. See Synonyms at scold.

*snorts* Beautiful.

Ah, hope you don't mind that I'm friending you, by the way. ;)

... it appears that in the middle of the word "revile", an upside-down A (Â) has magically appeared.

Funny. It wasn't there when I posted the comment.

This must be a bad omen.

Lily had barely finished putting on her lip gloss, the pump-up sort, to make her mouth full, sexy and totally kissable. When a huge, almost buff, horned owl flew right through her bedroom window and dropped a letter on her bed.

Almost buff? Even the owl is sexy?? I'm sorry, but... WHAT? I am actually too appalled to speak coherently on the matter.

How DARE she portray our Lily as a slut?! Oh, if I could get my hands on her.....

All of them portray Lily as somewhat slutty... it's rather sickening.

I hope you don't mind, but I am currently sporking the second fic you linked us too... I actually laughed so much that I cried.

Ok I totally agree about this Lilyslut thing. I mean, they just spoil our appetite. *goes off to puke* I hate sluts. Lily is NOT SUPPOSED to be A SLUT. These people are just wishing they were perfectly modelled and sexy in every way and they release their desires through fanfiction. *pukes again* If there is any more of this nonsense I may just jump off a cliff when I can't take it.
