Thank you for the rant, Kate.

1. I've already commented on that, but in short, you are so right.

2. You tell'em, girl! You know, I love (and entertain) the idea of Sirius being the most good-looking guy in the school, with many girls appreciating it and possibly one or two being completely smitten, but not him being a womanizer. It annoys me. Just as much as it annoys me to see him portrayed as a childish idiot.

3. Again, you tell'em! One can't even type the word 'serious' referring to the Marauders without having to insert 'pun not intended'. I want my freedom of speech, dammit!

4. I addressed that in a previous comment.

5+6. Cases of Mary-Sueism - "she's just like I'd love to be!!!!!11!!!". I can't afford to get started about that... but you tell'em!!

Thanks! Yeah, the whole Playboy!Sirius thing is annoying. Sure, he's attractive, but I know good-looking guys and most of them don't go out with half of the female population of my school. And as for him being stupid? I don't understand where that idea came from. At all.

Another Kate! Yay! Glad you liked the rant. It felt good to write it. =) As I was telling diaryfic, I might end up doing one on Playboy!Sirius or on how every Lily/James fic seems to be almost the same.

Firstly, YAY WICKED. Secondly, you rock my sweaty white socks. I loved your rant, because it neatly, cleverly, and spot-on perfectly covered each and every point that has ever brought me pain.
I will admit a soft spot for puns of all kind, though, even ones as lame as the Sirius-serious one.

I used to like the Sirius pun. Then I saw it again. And again. And again. And then it sort of lost it's humor/cleverness since everyone was using it.

I think I'm somehow guilty to number 2....in my defence, I make him on some scenes stupid for comedy, and he's not much of a man-whore in my fics.....kinda....*hides*

Lovely rant, though ^_^ The Loser/Emo/Slutty Lily annoys the hell out of me. And I can understand if fics don't mention Peter as much (I admit, I leave Peter out a bit and seem to focus on the other 3 marauders mostly) but fics which completely take him out of the story all together are ridiculous.

Yes, but your stories are well-written and meant to be funny that way. And you don't make him a complete man whore. I generally overlook it if I like the stories, anyway. Which I do, in your case.

Peter usually has a lesser role anyway, but when he's always sulking in a corner, planning to join Voldemort and kill everyone, or just not present at all, I tend to get annoyed.

Excellently made points. Especially Emo!Lily. In fact, why is she even referred to as Emo in the fics? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the phrase 'Emo' has only recently come about in recent years. It's all so stupid!

Gah! Poor Peter. He really doesn't get enough credit. I don't think he's evil myself. Not at all. I think people should really try to examine why Peter did what he did. I understand his actions, even if I don't agree with them.

Yep, emo is a relatively new term. It started with a band movement or something.

See, I think the most interesting thing about Peter is why exactly he chose to join Voldemort. This was mentioned in PoA somewhat. Peter likes powerful friends; he saw that the good side was losing and Voldemort's side as the more powerful one, so he picked the one he believed was more likely to come out on top. I don't think it had anything to do with him being truly evil. Granted, he is a murderer, but I never got the same sadistic feel that I got from, say, Bellatrix. I also think part of it may have been that he was sick of being the weakest of the Marauders (although he really wasn't all that weak, as he was able to fool his close friends AND Dumbledore). I think it may have been an "I'll show you all!" type of thing.

I should probably stop there since I could go on for awhile about that. ^__^
