Oct 27, 2008 00:37

Title: song writing challenge
Pairing: Yunho x Jaejoong
Rating: from PG to slight R
Genre: challenge
Note: Put your music player on random and write a drabble to the first ten songs that come up. No skipping, no pausing, end the writing once the song is finished. <- thanks to Iris I found this challenge, so here we go;

1. Your flesh is so nice - Jeff Buckley
The bright sun adorning the blue skies of Okinawa itched on Jaejoong's skin. Their activities on the hot summer day were definitely obstructed by the warmth, even the simple jacket photo shoot a struggle.

Everyone was irritated. Changmin kept complaining out loud, Yoochun was horribly excited over nothing at all and Junsu messed up their recording time.

But amongst the others Yunho felt as if in a dream, the warmth causing images in front of his eyes to dance and waver. If possible, Jaejoong's skin with all those muscles that tensed right underneath it would have him insane before the day would end.

2. City of Soul - Jaurim
I live in the city of soul - Jaejoong was leaning over the balcony, arms rested on the railing and eyes fixed on the scenery made out of tall buildings.
The city of soul - He sighed as his fingers found a cigarette.
Where the lonely minds roam - Inhaling the addictive smoke slowly, he closed his eyes and wished for some kind of freedom. If only he could head out and explore the maze of streets...
Everyone is such a stranger - Faces of their many fans danced in front of his eyes.
And all I need is love... - Bitterly, he stubbed out the cigarette, not able to accept his misery anymore. All I need is love...

3. Ai Qing Yoghurt - JJ Lin
There was no time for a proper breakfast that morning. Jaejoong felt kind of guilty, unable to prepare something for the other members and not even able to offer them anything else because he had no clue as to what they wanted to have. He lingered in the kitchen stupidly; looking a little lost as Changmin rushed past him to get to the fridge and take out a carton of milk. Junsu fought over the last banana with a still very sleepy Yoochun, who decided upon coffee after his defeat. Everyone hurried and Jaejoong caught himself staring at the wall instead, thinking of an excuse valid enough to explain why he hadn't prepared something the night before. When Yunho eventually poked his head around the door, he snapped out of it.

"Wait, wait, wait-" Jaejoong made a gesture at the other and opened the fridge. "There's yoghurt," he offered.

4. Soldiers - Bonnie Pink
The five of them stood bravely, but there was a lack of true courage at that moment. The backstage was too dark and they knew the lights onstage were far too bright. Yoochun seemed to have lost all possibility to speak in any language now and Junsu moved his weight from foot to foot, nervously plucking at the hem of his shirt.

Changmin tried to hide the fact that he was only seventeen and not yet ready by smiling, but it wasn't a comforting smile. Jaejoong felt his knees weaken and wrapped his arms tightly around himself, feeling as if though he could fall apart any moment from then.

The young raven-haired singer admired the way their leader appeared. Yunho was tall and despite his own worries, he tried to keep them all together. And as a true leader would, he lead his group of soldiers onto the stage to guide them into battle.

5. Waiting for a dream - Rufus Wainwright
The sky was pale and enchanting, leading eyes and minds to daydreams that danced until they evaporated or were shook apart violently. Jaejoong vaguely registered they were at some kind of cocktail party, but found himself far more entertained by the way the clouds decided to move. It all went so smoothly, a little like Yunho’s voice on a good day.

Yunho and him had held hands that day, had exchanged whispers and he had made a mental note to check to see what perfume the man was using. Whatever it was between them, they weren’t lovers and they couldn’t ever be. you are not my lover and you never will be, because you’ve never done anything to hurt me. Smiling just a little to himself, unnoticed by everyone around him, he decided that he’d keep that for his dreams.

6. Runaway - Micky Yoochun
It wasn’t as if they hadn’t done this before - on the contrary, they used to do this at least twice a week - but it was because they were doing it now and it made everything all that more dangerous.

Runaway towards freedom, Yoochun stepped on the gas and Jaejoong was laughing his heart out, leaning back in the passenger seat. Yunho just grinned, shaking his head. Incheon, the beach where Yoochun thought the sun rose from, whatever.

Changmin complained that they should’ve brought food. A sharp turn and Junsu’s head was knocked against the car window. Nobody would ever catch them, it was a feeling like that, but Yunho caught Jaejoong's eyes and could read in them this had been the right choice.

7. Untitled - Core of Soul
There really was no reason to write a note that morning and Yunho even reckoned that the message he wrote down wasn't realy what he wanted to bring across, either. Could be any reason to write to you, I just want you to write me back.

Jaejoong would definitely send him a text later on, once he had gotten in the car on his way to host Mnet with Yoochun. The others usually didn't bother, but Junsu had spent the previous night suggesting weird faces they could use once the show aired. Yoochun had asked him to shut up and focus on the song they were trying to write instead. pick up a title for me...

8. U.R.M.S. - Paran
His legs shook. It had been a while since he had been on a stage on his own and he could hear his heart beat irregularly somewhere in the back of his throat. This was going to be the last time too, that he’d sing alone; he had decided this before he had even headed out onto the stage. A solo song on their album, he had supported this idea, but to be performing on his own while they had all worked very hard on the album just felt off. Swallowing, the words flowed out steadily, but it was as if he wavered. On the side of the stage however, a familiar face doomed up and Jaejoong felt a wave of relief wash over him. Yunho. One last song...

9. Fake Star - Ken Hirai
There were a lot of things people didn’t know about them and wouldn’t ever get to know either. Yunho leaned back against the leather sofa, watching Jaejoong move about almost sinfully sensual. The beat of the music reminded him of smoke-filled clubs and vodka glasses but it was perfect as it seemed to fit the other man’s body like a second skin. There were a lot of things, Yunho pondered as he leaned forward and hooked his index fingers through the other man’s belt loops. By the end of the day, they were all fake stars and knew just one reality. For Yunho it was Jaejoong sliding onto his lap with his legs spread and his fingers tangled in his hair.

10. Koko de kisushite - Shiina Ringo
That Yoochun had left was one thing. It had come forth out of nights of crying over family that lived overseas. With the man’s mother living in Seoul, all of the members had supported his decision to move in with her. Yet Jaejoong had to stop himself from smashing the painting Yunho wanted to take along. It had been completely random, the leader’s decision to buy a house and move out of their shared apartment.

“Don’t go,” he whispered suddenly when Yunho had moved his suitcases to the hall way.
The leader looked at him in slight confusion, trying to laugh it off, but Jaejoong’s fingers caught around his wrist. “Don’t go,” and his eyes spoke of something else. Don’t go, kiss me here.
