As soon as Ino could ditch the crutches, she knew it was time to go out and play. It was depressing having to sit around her room, batting off cats, and not having much to do beyond getting Shikamaru to drag her to various places. Everyone, it seemed, was down lately because of one thing or another. Whether it was Obito or personal stresses no one

I mean down in Mexico
And you wanna get straight
Man, don't hesitate
Just look up a cat named Joe
The song slowed down again, which suited Ino just fine. Her leg was demanding she slow it up or else it would rebel. Turning back around to Temari, Ino straddled her lap, almost sitting down but not quite. She took Temari's hands again and put them on her own shoulders and holding them there as she ground into her lap teasingly, still mouthing the words.
He wears a red bandanna, plays a blues piano
In a honky-tonk, down in Mexico
He wears a purple sash, and a black mustache
In a honky-tonk, down in Mexico...
The song ended and Ino sat more fully on Temari's lap as the lack of practice had caught up with her. She was tired, a bit out of shape but not any worse for wear. The people at the bar broke out into deafening applause and whistles but what was really important was Temari's reaction.
She seemed happy. That was good.
"Did you like?" Ino asked, just a bit breathless, face flushed and damp from

The absolute innocence behind the question that should have been anything but coupled with her wide and eager sky blue eyes clinched it though. Temari’s ruby painted lips pulled into a wide grin as laughter roared from her lungs, her head dropping back over the back of the chair. Had she liked it?! Seriously? Ino couldn’t tell ( ... )

And she hadn't hurt her leg too badly, either. It was a little sore but nothing a little rest wouldn't cure.
"I know you've been sad since Obito's death. I mean, you're good at hiding it and everything but, yeah," she said sheepishly. "Not that I think you're a perverted guy who likes lap dances and stuff but I thought you'd appreciate the fine art of dancing."

But, Ino had called, and Tenten... well, Tenten went where her friend asked her. She'd shimmied out of her concert dress and readied it for the cleaners, slipped on a hot little red dress (courtesy of the fine Miss Yamanaka) and had followed after Ino to the bar. Sure, it wasn't her kind of bar, but she'd not been out in weeks, thanks to one thing or another. Tenten pushed her hand into her still curled hair (slightly tousled, now that the whole shebang was over), and watch Ino's little dance for Temari, just this side of horrified under her cool demeanor.
Good to know Ino was feeling much better, she thought and ordered a Fourth of July. She hoped her friend wasn't going to hurt herself, but Ino knew her body, it would be okay.

She spotted Tenten in the dress she told her she HAD to by and limped over. A silly, slightly drunk grin was on her face but all in all, Ino was okay. Maybe she was getting better at this drinking thing.
Was that Shikamaru next to Tenten? In a BAR?
Oh, this was her lucky night.
Since there were no other chairs available and her leg was going to mutiny on her any moment, Ino just took it upon herself to sit between Shikamaru's legs. She remembered his "heavy" remark and so did not sit ON his legs. She didn't really want to be called fat a second time, thank you very much.
"Hi," Ino said cheerfully.

"Uh, hi." he slowly greeted, trying to get a reading from her face, seeing if she was drunk or not. Her face was still flush, which was a strong indication that maybe she was. "Sorry, I'm taken already. Try someone else," he tried, observing her with a raised-eyebrow look. Now that she was here between his legs, Shikamaru wished that he or she was somewhere else.
