Now that I'm passed the trauma of the last 2 weeks, I'm going to celebrate with a new icon and truly gratuitous icon post...

But it IS a 30 pound "miniature" dachshund...And that's nearly the same thing. :-)

(She's had the unfortunate moniker of Piglet for many years now...)

Is that Suzanne's dog....Bridget? As I recall she was rather spectacular for a "miniature" (course, many are) Poor Sadie's been put on a diet and she's just the most pathetic thing you've ever seen.

Indeed that's her. And she's gotten more and more rotund as she gets older. She also refuses to go up and down stairs or get on or off of furniture. She's spoiled in her old age and Suzanne feels guilty about all the surgery she's had, so she just lugs her around.

What part about the last two weeks was traumatic? I've been in my own little world and think I missed the crisis part. :-/

What part about the last two weeks was traumatic? I've been in my own little world and think I missed the crisis part. :-/ Well, I kinda went into in my last post, but it turned out kind of bitter and obtuse, so I'll just wrap it up quickly. Right after the garage flooded, the dryer broke in a spectacular fashion, the maxima brokedown and before all was over, my dad ended up threatening Nissan with litigation because they were trying to starve out the warranty on a very expensive repair. Then the kia broke down the next day. So we had a total of 0 cars to drive. (That becomes an issue when the emergency room part happens later...)Then my machine at work broke, so there was lots of screaming and stress. Then there were just a dozen small things that were not enough to throw me usually, but with everything else going wrong, they were horrible, and then exactly one week from the date of the garage, I collapsed in a fit of stomach pain and spent the day in the emergency room with a fairly incompetent doctor who decided I had a kidney ( ... )
