Am I COMPLETELY FREAKING INSANE for feeling strongly convicted that I need need to sack up and take on pharmacy school? All 5-ish years of it

I think you have to ask yourself what do you ultimately want for your life... where do you want to be by the time you're forty? Financially, job-wise, location, whatever. Then decide which one of those avenues is most likely to get you there with the least amount of headache, heartache, and debt.
Wish I knew the answer. I honest to god don't know anything about pharmacy school. I know Krystal took class to work as a pharmacy tech. Maybe that's something you should try to make sure it's what you want?
You're plenty of help. I just have to decide to get brave and make it happen. FSA is really (and I'm not just bending this to my preference) looking like the ideal place for me to go...4 year university with strong academics, low cost of living, INSTATE TUITION, etc. It actually makes a lot of sense, provided I can get the finanical aid worked out.
Regardless, we need to sit down soon and have a ducks-in-row meeting where we figure out some planz.
I know I'm a little late to this but I thought I'd put my two cents in as well. Like Shari said, it's really about what you ultimately want. I know 5 years is intimidating, but it is do-able. I just spent close to that long back in school and I thought it might never end. However, I am glad I did it. I also know the amount of debt you'll have to take on is scary, and I never like to encourage people to get into debt but if the pharmacy thing is what you want then consider it an investment in yourself and the future.
I guess what it really comes down to is will you look back in 10 years and regret not going the pharmacy route if you choose gerontology instead? I know it's tough but I'm sure you'll pick what's right for you!
