If I wasn't feeling like such a dick today, and I were more eloquent, I would have said something like what you did.
I got irate because I feel like people are jumping to the easiest possible conclusion in a situation without taking the time to formulate an educated opinion. This is a big issue for Lakeridge, whether you like it or not, and if you just sit idly by and jump onto whatever opinion seems most convenient...well...then you're not thinking for yourself, and therefore I feel your thoughts carry less weight than those which are more rationally backed up.
I agree with Josh about the whole concept of death, too. In fact, what he wrote is essentially my philosophy on death and life.
I have a feeling that during our camping trip while I’m Incapacitated, we will have very interesting discussions on philosophy. (Discussing philosophy and religion on forums is my hobby BTW.)
The honest fact is, if that kid was serious about killing people then he wouldn't have given any warning. When you look back at the incidents at other highschools where students actually attacked and killed other students and/or faculty, there had been no warning. Nobody is stupid enough to attack on a day when security is the tightest it can be. I'm glad they caught the little bitch. I also hope the police club him in the teeth a little bit. If we had actually come face to face with an attack upon the students, my ass would be out of there so fast. with 1200 students, I've got one hell of a meat shield. The only flaw in that plan is I'm sure that at least half of those people have the same idea. And if I died, then everyone could consider themselves HAUNTED.
I would have been hunting the shit down. No one bombs our school without my express written permission, and as the sonofabitch obviously didn't have that, I would have kicked his teeth in.
