So my family actually left today. They really left last night but I called my dad about 5 minutes after they left and asked them if they wouldnt mind coming back and spending the day with me. Today we ended up in CT. So far we have driven through 11 states. Washington was incredible. Favorite Spots: Vietnam Memorial (after reading "the things they carried" and hearing tim o'brien speak about the war it was incredibly moving, even got some tears from me, there was a really beautiful christmas tree by the memorial with handwritten notes ( Read more... )

Well today we woke up, hopped in the car and left my life behind (of course, not forever, im just starting a new one). Last minute change of plans, I am going to Boston on thursday for my orientation at NEU. I am going for three days and I get to meet all the people I have been getting know on facebook (well three specific people to be exact!) I am so excited about this trip. Ok, so updating this journal hasnt really been at the top of my priority list these last couple of weeks. I finally had some time to sit down. Today was wierd and kind of monumental.
