HP DAY 27: Would you rather own The Invisibility Cloak, The Resurrection Stone or The Elder Wand?
The only item I see having any value of the three is the Invisibility Cloak. What's the point of the Elder Wand? So it's more powerful? I'd rather stick with the wand that chose me. I remember when Harry claimed the Elder wand at the end of the book, how I was really just waiting for him to get his wand repaired, because that wand was HIS wand, it was the wand with a bit of Fawkes in it. As for the Resurrection Stone, I'm not one to be in denial when it comes to things like depth. I'm am a God-loving person, who isn't afraid of death, and am not one to think of wrenching someone out of that world only to return to this destitute place. The Stone really is a selfish item.
BUT THE INVISIBILITY CLOAK IS JUST COOL! YOU CAN RUN AROUND AND BE INVISIBLE WOOOO!
DW DAY 27: An Episode Idea You Created Yourself
After Victory of the Daleks came out I became mad with the idea of writing my own season of Doctor Who, so while this question is only asking about an episode, I CANNOT BE CONTAINED.
I would write the best Dalek episode this world has ever seen. It would be truly terrifying. I would only have one to three Daleks in the episode, because one Dalek is scary enough, I don't need an army of them. I'd also keep the whole episode in one local Possible a small-scale spaceship, a mansion, or an area of London-town where there are a lot of closely-nit backstreets. The point is that is that the setting would force a very cat-and-mouse feel, where the Daleks could be leaking around any corner and they're coming for you. And of course the lighting would be dark, and the editing would heighten the suspense. I just want to write a Dalek episode that scares the crap out of people, and puts Daleks back on top. They haven't been scary for a while now, and it's really infuriating.
Another episode would take place entirely on the Tardis. I am in love with the current interior set for the Tardis because it really looks like it's this massive place full of corridors and secret paths leading on and on. The Tardis is world worth exploring and that's what this episode would do. I'm not sure what would keep the Doctor on the Tardis though; it could be a number of things: they need to find something he misplaced years ago or perhaps something full of malice has snuck onboard, and I could play with the idea that Tardis isn't safe (whenever I watch DW, I'm always rooting for them to make it back to the Tardis because if they do that they'll be safe).
A third episode idea: Doctor Who meets Star Trek. Now it wouldn't actually be Star Trek, but there is a lack of Intergalactic Scientific Mission Spacecrafts that are on five year missions go where no man has gone before, to explore space, the final frontier. The Federation ship would come across the Doctor, confusing him with the real villain/space problem since he's in the proximity of where the disturbance is coming from according to their ships sensors. The Doctor is curious himself, so he comes on board to help out.
Back to Earth: I'd have a fourth episode set in Atlantis. It's been awhile since the Doctor was there, but I know that storyline was always connected to the Master. I watched the first Atlantis adventure a few weeks back, the one with Two, but I wouldn't have to worry about treading on any cannon with that one since it wasn't about Atlantis so much as it was about some mad scientist who worked for the Atlantians. I don't know enough about Three's adventures in Atlantis to comment on the latter adventures. I'd want to flesh out the culture and the people of that city. This would be the episode that shamelessly exists just so I could have a lot of art design.
Speaking of history, there's need to be a historical figure episode as well, but I'm not sure who yet. Probably King Arthur though. However, I know that the Doctor was Merlin at one point, but I'm not aware of the details surrounding this. However, I find this hilarious considering who I want to eventually play the Doctor (but that's tomorrow's question).
AND THEN THERE WOULD BE AN EPISODE OR TWO WITH BRIGADIER BECAUSE HE'S BRIGADIER AND HE'S AWESOME AND THERE'S TIME TRAVEL SO WE CAN GO VISIT HIM WHENEVER EVEN IF IT MEANS RECASTING AND HAVE THE ORIGINAL ACTOR MAKE A CAMEO EVEN THOUGH HE'S LIKE 80 NOW... most of that did not require all caps...
The rest of the episodes would depend on who I'd want the villain of the season to be, or what the companion(s) and the Doctor would need as characters. But speaking of companions, I'd bring Jenny back and have that Doctor/Daughter dynamic. I'd also probably find some lad from the past, but this could just be because I really like Jamie as a companion and he is the main companion for all of Two's tenture.
