He is sitting on a bench warm, in half lit noon sun. He is in his 3 o' clock lecture. His professor moves in and out of a hole, scurrying to  prepare himself for a long winter, he is lecturing on the signs in nature, and guiding his students as to how to see them and respond in kind.
