Two initial reactions:
1) Does your asterisk imply that Mirza blow goats? I'd heard the rumors, but had yet to get any third-party confirmation.
2) In defense of your local news station, the newscast did make the important point that Katies always get their revenge.

I read about the "Katie's Revenge" tattoo--it was a blurb in the NY Times, so it *must* be important, right?

No need to apologize. I too have seen some sorry examples of local news, but I've also seen some really great examples. Next time you're in the Twin Cities, check out the CBS affiliate there--they rarely cover things like car accidents. As for what you can do about 19 Action News--well, there's not a whole lot. Local stations broadcast news for the community (and don't have to pay for the airwaves, I might add), but they rarely seem to have forums or some way for people to give feedback. Although, when viewers *do* give feedback, it's usually an opinion about the female anchor's hair color and style. I have a love-hate relationship with television news.

p.s I don't blow goats. Let's not start any rumors here.

Yes, let's make this clear. Mirza does not, in fact, blow goats. But she does work in TV news, so yeah, I wanted to make sure she knew I wasn't ragging on her chosen professional as a whole--just some of the local programming.

I'm Kent Brockman. A car chase every night, or the weather girl wears a tube top! And if she doesn't, you win a pizza!
