I think that I have made up my mind. Not entirely, but I would say that its pretty much decided. I think that I need a break. Taking a semester off, or just taking the time I need off to come to what I want to do...I think it has become necessary. I'm flipping out, I'm having a lot of trouble coming up with reasons to stay. I honestly think it's better to figure out what you want to do first, because here I am 4 years and $75,000 in loans later and I have NO idea what I want to do with my life. Weren't you thinking about going abroad?? Maybe that will help you figure out what you want to do but you could still be in school? Then if that doesn't help you could try taking a semester off entirely.

Allyson, you are sad. I don't want this for you. It is very difficult to figure out what you want to do. And of course, what you do in college doesn't necessarily correlate to what you do in real life (think of Craig...he was a Spanish major and now works at Nike!). All that matters is that degree. Everything else is all experience and know-how. Drop the second major if it's not working out. Nobody will hate you for it. I only had one major. Or, like Lyndsay said, talk to Mum and Dad about taking a semester off. They'll tell you to get a full time job, I can tell you that already. If nothing else, it'll definitely remind you of how much you don't want to be a fitting room attendant for the rest of your life (ugh, exhibit A: my ten month stint as a medical records worker). But, it might also help you save some money, feel free without homework or due dates for once in your life (and that IS a nice feeling that I miss), and figure out what you really want. I think you should have a nice sit-down with Mum. I can talk to her if you want.
