We are definitely NOT one nation under god. Because we aren't a nation of people that all believe in god. I know you believe that we are all under god whether we believe in him or not. But its just not the case for those of us that don't

Dane... I love you... I am going to say it again...

I am tired of people talking about all of this propaganda.... Rita, by saying something like this, and i quote, " Especially to a man who has given nothing to our country but fear and debt" is such b.s.... I am tired of all of the lies that people are saying... President Bush has not put fear into this country... He is letting us know what is out in the world, and unfortuantly, their our people in the world to fear... Also, yes our country is in debt, partly to the fact that we are at war... But if people knew BASIC BASIC economic patterns, they would know that the economy goes in cycles... We are in a down cycle right now... And also the down cycle began in the last year that President Clinton was in office... So to blame all of the economic problems on George Bush is wrong and unfair...

at this point I don't think anyone is trying to change your mind...just give ours. I truly believe that this election meant a lot more to the people that lost than to those that won.

i was not trying to pit one friend against another, i was mearly stating that yeah, this election is over, and no matter how hard it is to get over the fact that Bush is still our president saying "I'm moving to canada" etc. is more bullshit than what i said. (i am not saying that anyone here stated that, it has just been a very popular response to the turn out in the election) i think that as americans who, however divided the thing that will bring integrity and respect back to our wonderful nation is unity. Whether you are a liberal or a conservative i think that you can agree. And in direct response to Rita, i was not trying to say that you should put your beliefs aside and accept Bush as a "good enough", but mearly that where you feel you can, give him the respect you can. And if that happens to be none, then no one is going to persecute you for that and it is your sovereign decision. I love you all and i felt what i said needed to be said. i am sorry for any offense caused for as all of you should know i meant none by this.
