Finally I get around to updating...yeesh. Anyway, my 2013's been going fairly well, although it has had its ups and downs. Here's what's going on with me:

Yes, I must plug, and I MUST chug!

Ugh, why are friendships harder when you're older? No fair.

Where's Dragoncon, again?

Atlanta! Ah, well, guess that's one I won't be going to.

Great to hear you're progressing along. Yeah, sucks it's in small steps but in steps nonetheless.

I'm in the same boat. It was way too easy to stay in contact with friends during college. After college, it's an Olympic sport! It's doesn't help that I don't bother with Facebook.

Pacific Rim looks so badass. It looks even better with each new trailer.

Comic Con: Sunday might be a good choice, I think that's usually when they set the DC Nation panel. But I think DC Universe - usually Friday/Saturday evening.

Joss Whedon's a train that ain't stopping anytime soon.

Yeah, it must be hard without Facebook. I consider it a necessary evil to stay on top of things.

I had to miss DC Nation two years ago because I was buying tickets for next year, but I managed to go last year...and hopefully this year! I'm okay with Sunday, but I want to go Friday and Saturday too.

I'm too suspicious of Facebook, my data, and reading about their ever shifting privacy policies. Everyone thinks I'm a nut but there are some aspects of the tech world I just won't embrace.

Well, yeah. Naturally, one wants to go everyday. But from someone who never went, it seems to get bigger and bigger every year with less oxygen to breathe! I hope you get a chance to go to the JL: The Flashpoint Paradox screening. The world is still waiting for PR to drop the day and time for that. I know the last two times they went to SDCC (Under the Red Hood in 2010 and Year One in 2011), it was both Friday night, 8-10 pm.

I don't blame you, actually. There are a lot of apps I don't want to put on my phone just because of all the required sharing.

I remember when I first went two years ago and they were showing Year One, I missed the first screening because I was at dinner with friends, and by the second one...I was exhausted.

Was Much Ado About Nothing accessable for those of us who don't really understand Shakespeare? If so I may get it on DVD.

I'm looking forward to Under The Dome too. Have you read the book? It's excellent.

Although it's Shakespeare, his comedy plots aren't really that hard to follow. Some of the double entendres and deeper meanings may be hard to decipher, but you'll be able to understand what's going on. Denisof does some physical humor, and Nathan Fillion and Tom Lenk make a hilarious duo.

Haven't read Under The Dome.

Which other Jossverse players are in it?

It's basically a 1000 page slam at the Bush Administration. It takes place during the start of Obama's second term (it was published in 2009 so King had quite the foresight) so the timing of the TV adaptation couldn't be better.

Much Ado actually had an impressive amount of Jossverse players:

From Buffy/Angel, there was Alexis Denisof, Amy Acker, and Tom Lenk.
From Firefly, we had Nathan Fillion and Sean Maher.
Dollhouse gave us Fran Kranz.
And Avengers actors included Clark Gregg and Ashley Johnson.

Heh, yeah, sock it to Bush! They did have King on as a consultant, so we'll see.
