So how'd it work out? And when you said you wanted to bring a group of five to a Blackhawks game, did they ask you when you wanted them to drop the puck?
Yeah, it was sad how empty the place was. There was very little emotion in the crowd. I was rooting for the Dallas Stars (my hometown team), so I wasn't making a lot of noise myself. But there just wasn't any passion in the UC. There was one point when Khabibulin made several awesome saves in a row that the crowd got riled up, but that was it. The Hawks have been mismanaged into something dismal. They're starting to get better, but I worry that no one will care.
The Brits seemed to enjoy it. My friend Richard, disappointed by the lack of fighting, liked that whole families come to sporting events in America (I guess you don't see that in England). He also said that you'd never seen people dancing in the stands in England, which prompted an exchange between the two of us that sounded something like, "An enjoyable song, what?" "Quite."
