Another monotonous week.....

Sunday night was pretty uneventful, I slept a lot, cropped the pics from this weekend, which were absolutely AMAZING by the way. I got some awesome action shots of everyone jumping in the water (I obviously didn't jump in--lol)!! Not much is really going on this week. Monday I woke up around 11:30 or so, did some random stuff around the house,

just saw you post on the midwifery group. i'm in VA to, very interested in becoming a doula/and or midwife someday. im 19 mother to a beautiful baby boy who is 20 months. how did you meet the midwife you are apprenticing?

Hi, what part of VA are you in?? I have known my midwife for about 9 years, she met my mom when they worked in L&D together at a local hospital and she needed a babysitter for her two little boys--ME!! When she finished midwifery school and opened practice, she needed an assistant and ever since the birth of her daughter (#3) I had been reading everythign there was to read about midwifery and birth and natural birth etc. So she asked me if I would be interested and I of course said yes. I love my midwife, she is AWESOME!!! Good luck in becoming a doula. Are you planning to get certified?? I am not "officially" certified b/c I feel like my training with my midwife qualifies me as a doula. Hope to talk to you again, feel free to email me or IM me, I'm usually on Yahoo and AIM!

Im currently living near Smithfield. i donno if you know where that is. near hampton and newport news. im new to VA. There was a doula course i wanted to go to next month but we can't afford it. im hoping to get certified by the end of next year though and may go on to be a midwife... not sure. your so lucky to have the experience. i don't have Yahoo or AIM but i have msn?! anyway my name is Amanda
