ffffff Im so confused over this! Is there any way at all to tell the difference then if the first few sets were all matte? Are the names on the bottom of the bases in English maybe?

not that I know! I looked at the bases on all my EU zukan, and the names are all in Japanese and all the copyright info is the same as my Japanese zukan (either YUJIN CHINA or YUJIN MADE IN CHINA depending on the set). the only way I know of is whether the plastic is glossy (newer EU zukan) or matte (Japanese and older EU zukan). other than that I don't think there's any difference between the figures!

Bah. I just wanted my Whiscash to match the replace the Barboach piece I need to eventually rebuy.... but then again why do I even care? The thing is the size of a grain of rice! Can barely see the stupid thing anyway lol

XD Barboach should match! I don't have that set any more, but I have the clamperl line they came with, and they're the same matte plastic as the Japanese zukan.
