(Yeah, it surprised me, too... I was trying to write something else, so idek where this came from. Haha.)
Well, it won't be easy for them this time, but I do have a happy ending in mind, so at least they'll get there eventually. ^_^

Thumbs up for the BTTF reference. I love that movie.

Great Scott! You can thank my BTTF-obsessed husband for watching them while I was planning this thing out. Hee.

LOL, poor Alfred... this should be interesting.

And Alfred. So special. Lol. Interesting is what I'm hoping for!

I literally need this first chapter to go on for 100 years. Please. That's the only way!
I am soooo glad this got a sequel. I mean it was a brilliant story the way you left it before. But the fact that I'm a hopeless USUK fangirl means that character death and them NOT GETTING TOGETHER AT THE END, is the msot devastating thing in the world to me. So although it was well written and made sense to end it the way it is, I'm just so happy there's a sequel and a second chance.
Do we find out more about why Alfred sort of died/went back in time/got a second chance? Or are we just supposed to accept and focus on the new storyline now.
I'm happy either way. To be honest, I'd prefer the second one, because then I won't have to worry about time limits, or space/time repercussions if Alfred changes things, etc.
Anyway, I'll stop rambling.
Great prequel, this is already a great sequel, and I can't wait for them to actually interact properly next time!

“So… Alfred.”
It’s difficult, but Alfred manages to keep calm and collected in spite of the heavenly way his name just rolls off of Arthur’s tongue (and he’d thought just hearing him say, Arthur Kirkland-it’s a pleasure, had been enough to short-circuit his brain), and he gives a hm? through his mouthful of chicken and mushroom pie.
There. Preview. :D
I know exactly what you mean. It seriously is devastating when fics don't wind up with our boys together, but... somehow, it didn't even bug me at all to do it with the first one. Is that bad? Lol.
Hmmmm... y'know, I haven't really decided about that. I mean, I'm leaning more towards the latter, just because I don't want to stray too far from the core of the fic (Alfred loves what he knows of Arthur, Arthur is obviously more than what Alfred knows of him, and how is Alfred going to deal with this once he figures it out?). But at the same time, I feel like I do owe the readers some sort of explanation eventually, so... I'm sure I'll address it at ( ... )
